Charles Brewer

 

Charles is the Managing Director of NaMax, which he founded in 1996. He has worked in IT and finance since 1978 when he began working for Arthur Andersen in their consultancy division. Later he worked for firms such as Merrill Lynch, Price Waterhouse and Citibank, in many locations round the world.

Since setting up NaMax, he has been involved in several industry initiatives which range from working with HM Treasury and the European Commission on IT aspects of the introduction of the euro to developing the architecture for an online financial supermarket. He has provided advice in commercial and criminal legal cases on matters relating to information technology and banking practice.

Charles has been involved in complex integration projects for most of his career beginning with the design and implementation of what was, at the time, the most technologically advanced dealing room in London, while at Merrill Lynch. This involved a series of 'firsts' including the implementation of the first video switch outside the USA and the implementation of one of the first local area networks in a trading room in the UK.

Recently, he has been involved in developing solutions for development of channels in environments with extensive legacy systems. Working with NaMax associates, he has been responsible for the rapid and successful implementations in two insurance companies in the UK and the Far East where legacy systems were browser enabled for use in call centres and on the Internet.

Adam Farmer

 

Adam has over ten years experience recruiting sales and technical professionals for some of the world’s leading blue chip organisations including Microsoft, EMC and Network Appliance.  Adam specialises within the enterprise and data centre arena where he has developed a number of successful and strong relationships with Vendors, IT Service Providers and Value Added Re-sellers.  His approach is quality driven and for most opportunities, he submits one candidate and has a high placement rate.  His earlier career included working for Midland Bank, Haymarket Consulting, Red Resourcing and Ultima Business Solutions where he has gained valuable experience of managing sales teams, increasing revenues and generating new business opportunities.

Adam has developed an excellent reputation for consistently delivering the industry’s top performing people into the best opportunities and the majority of his work is generated through personal recommendations as well as networking and head hunting. 

Adam Farmer

Giffin Lorimer

 

Giffin has held international marketing leadership roles in blue-chip firms that span the technology sector, including 3 years based in Florida, USA. He also created multimillion dollar products and B2B services platforms for IBM, GE, Cable & Wireless, Maersk and for himself and investors.
In 1984 he invented a channel verticalisation concept based around accreditation and "Academies"; this was adopted by IBM USA and subsequently by the entire IT sector. Between 1989 and 1995 he was an Object Technology pioneer and was appointed by the IBM EMEA Chairman to program manage the adoption of OT across the whole of IBM EMEA.
In 2000 he co-founded (and subsequently sold) a life-sciences software firm. In 2008 he launched Deffinity, an online (SaaS) EPM service for project and process coordination, tailored for Service Providers and Outsourcers. He has worked with a number of small firms and startups as a consultant and Director, most recently Exchangecoms.
He is an accomplished conference speaker and writer. In 2004, he authored a chapter for a Euromoney book, "How to Build and Invest in Successful University Spinouts" and has written IBM technology ‘redbooks’ and articles for magazines and industry yearbooks.

Chris Miller

Chris is a Professional Hotelier, Caterer and Company Director with over 30 years experience in the industry. Experience includes operational hotel and restaurant management, contract catering, hotel and restaurant sales, event management and general experience in the tourist and travel industry.

Having qualified with honours in Hotel, Catering & Hospitality Management at London’s Westminster College, Chris trained at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane before working for a multi-site food operation in Zurich and subsequently became the Food & Beverage Manager at the 4 star Drury Lane Hotel in London. He ran Anton Mosimann's very successful outside catering business which was awarded Prince Charles' Royal Warrant during his time there.  Chris was a main board director for the stock exchange listed Availeon Plc which managed the hospitality at Shepperton & Elstree film studios, the Ultimate Event Company, Sequence Food & Events and several catering contracts nationwide. He also managed the commercial side of Highclere Castle near Newbury, the home of the Earl of Carnarvon, and was general manager of Conran's Bluebird Gastrodome on London's Kings Road.  

Chris also spent 5 years as a senior inspector with the world reknown Michelin Guide where he inspected hotels and restaurants in the UK, Ireland, France, Scandinavia and Greece.
